Elastic adhesive paste for wall tiles.
Foby+ CopyFlex is a ready-to-use wall tile adhesive based on a synthetic resin dispersion. The adhesive has good flow resistance properties, excellent initial adhesion and a long open time, it stays elastic and is waterproof. Due to its unique composition, the adhesive is very easy to process and suitable for many applications. To be used especially for professional processing, where effectiveness is important.
Foby+ CopyFlex is suitable for bonding wall tiles, glass and porcelain mosaics and stone strips to substrates made of gypsum, gypsum board and gypsum fibre board, aerated concrete, cement stucco, prefabricated and lightweight building components and existing tile work. The use of Foby+ CopyFlex is recommended for project-based adhesion of wall tiles indoors, including in damp areas. However, Foby+ CopyFlex is not suitable for bonding wall tiles outdoors or in areas subject to continuous water exposure such as swimming pools.
Apply Foby+ CopyFlex adhesive to the substrate (using the 'floating' method) using a rectangular notched tile trowel. Select a notch depth that allows at least 65% of the tile to be covered with adhesive. Slide tiles into the adhesive bed, press and immediately straighten. Adhesive must only be applied to an area of the surface that still enables the tiles to be pressed into the fresh adhesive in a sliding motion. Residual adhesive must immediately be removed using a damp cloth and tools should be rinsed with water.
Open time: Approx. 30 min. (depending on temperature). Application temp.: Between +5°C to +25°C (substrate and ambient temperature). Curing: Can be grouted after a minimum of 24 hours. Storage: Store in frost-free conditions. Shelf life: Minimum 12 months if left unopened and stored in cool conditions. Packaging: 16 kg bucket. Consumption: 1.5 - 2.5 kg/m2.
