Foby+ Flexcement is mixed with clean tap water in a clean mixing tub to produce a smooth, sturdy mass. A 25 kg bag of powder is sprinkled in 6 to 7 litres of water and mixed with a mixing drill. After allowing to set for approximately 5 minutes, mix the mortar once again vigorously. The mixture is now ready and has an application time of approximately 4 hours. Apply the adhesive to the substrate (using the ‘floating’ method) with a tile trowel with rectangular notches. Select a notch depth that ensures at least 2/3 of the tile is covered with adhesive. Adhesive must only be applied to an area of the surface to enable the tiles to still be pressed into the fresh adhesive in a sliding motion. Once a skin has formed on the adhesive layer, insufficient adhesion will occur. With floor heating, follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding commissioning. Residual adhesive must immediately be removed using a damp cloth and tools must be rinsed with water.
