Fast elastic powdered tile adhesive.
Foby+ PF mortel is an elastic, quick curing powdered tile adhesive that binds hydraulically. It combines a rapid curing with high initial and final adhesion and a high elasticity. After hardening, the adhesive will remain resistant to moisture and frost for years to come. The permanent flexibility makes the adhesive highly suitable for substrates that are subject to light use. Foby+ PFmortel is available in grey and white variants.
Foby+ PF-mortel is suitable for bonding ceramic wall and floor tiles (including porcelain stoneware), mosaic tiles and natural stone tiles onto practically any substrate. Particularly recommended for projects where there is time pressure. On substrates that are subject to temperature variations such as with floor heating or on balconies and terraces. For bonding over old tile layers. When bonding on substrates that are subject to extreme stress (if the appropriate tile is used). Natural stone, including the translucent and light colours, can be bonded using Foby+ PF-mortel wit.
Mix 25 kg of Foby+ PF-mortel with 7 litres of clean tap water in a clean mixing tub with a mixing drill to obtain a smooth, sturdy mass. If necessary, add a little water or powder to achieve the correct working thickness. The mixture is now ready and has a working time of approximately 40 minutes. Therefore, never prepare more than what can be processed within this time. Already hardened adhesive should not be diluted with water to avoid loss of strength. Apply the adhesive to the substrate with a tile trowel with rectangular notches, whereby 2/3 of each tile is covered with the adhesive. Press the tiles into the fresh adhesive with a sliding motion. With floor heating, follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding commissioning. For outdoor applications, for non-porous tiles and for applications under water, bond the tiles completely (100%) so that both substrate and tiles are coated with adhesive. Residual adhesive must immediately be removed using a damp cloth and tools must be rinsed with water.
Mixing ratio: Add 100 g powder to 28g water. Processing time: Approx. 40 min. Open time: Approx. 15 minutes. Processing temperature: From + 5°C to 35°C (substrate and ambient temperature). Curing: Can be walked on after a minimum of 3 hours. Can be grouted after a minimum of 3 hours. Can be loaded after at least 24 hours. Shelf life: Minimum 6 months if left unopened and stored in dry conditions. Packaging: 25 kg bag. Consumption: 1.5 - 4.0 kg/m2.
