Neutral silicone sealant for construction and sanitary joints.
Foby+ Silicone NO is a neutral, acid-free, Oxime-curing, ready-to-use, shrink-proof single component silicone sealant based on polysiloxanes. Due to Foby+ Silicone NO maintaining its elasticity after curing in a large temperature range (-50 ºC - + 120 ºC), the product can be used under the most diverse circumstances. The product is UV-resistant. The maximum permissible permanent deformation is 25%.
Foby+ Silicone NO is a sanitary sealant and therefore extremely suitable for applications in showers, bathrooms, toilets and other wet cells. Foby+ Silicone NO adheres excellently to all glassy surfaces such as glass, ceramic tiles, enamel and porcelain and is extremely suitable as a joint filling in connections and expansion joints of tile walls and floors. In addition, good adhesion is generally achieved to most types of paint and various metals such as stainless steel, aluminium and brass and plastics such as hard PVC, PC, ABS, hard PS and polyester. On concrete, stone or marble, a primer should be used first. The product is not overpaintable.
Foby+ Silicone NO cures under the influence of air humidity and therefore the joint depth is limited to a maximum of 12 mm. The maximum joint width is 15 mm. Cut the nozzle at an angle and fill the joint with a sealant gun in a uniform movement. After approx. 5 minutes the curing process starts and after approx. 15 minutes a skin will have formed. Within this time, the sealant should be smoothed with a wet finger (or a grouting trowel or grouting spatula, if necessary). Wetting can best be done with concentrated soapy water. The curing time is 24 to 72 hours, depending on joint dimensions, air humidity and temperature. Remove stains immediately with white spirit.
Processing temperature: from +5°C to +40 °C (substrate and ambient temperature). Curing: 24 to 72 hours. The maximum permissible deformation: Approx. 25%. Cured after Approx. 24 hours. Shelf life: Minimum 12 months if left unopened and stored in cool, dry and frost-free conditions. After opening, the shelf life is limited. Packaging: 310 ml tube. Consumption: Depends on joint width and joint depth.
